LG Q52 leaks in multiple live shots, looks like a rebranded K52

Image
LG introduced the k52 midranger last month. The phone is expected to sell in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia, but apparently, the home scene is getting the phone under a new name - LG Q52. That is revealed by leaked hands-on photos, which show a phone of the same size with triple LED flash, appeared. This LG Q52 is said to have a Helio P35 chipset, coupled with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The screen is 6.6” in diagonal and is LCD with HD+ resolution. There is a single punch hole in the top center for the 13MP selfie camera. The leaked specs sheet says the rear will have a 48MP main camera alongside a 5MP ultrawide shooter, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors. The battery is 4,000 mAh but there’s no word whether LG will introduce some sort of fast-charging.   The K52 currently costs €200 in Germany but local sources claim the Q52 will cost around KRW300,000 which is equal to €225 - that’s a 10% increase on the domestic scene. We’re wondering whether LG w...

Court documents reveal that Apple will use Qualcomm 5G modems through 2023

Image
Last year Apple and Qualcomm  buried the hatchet , which paved the way to using Qualcomm modems in Apple’s new 5G iPhones. A teardown from earlier today revealed that the iPhone 12 series is   using the X55 modem , a modem usually found paired with a Snapdragon 865 chipset in this year’s Android phones. But this is just the beginning of the partnership. And it’s actually the settlement filing that reveals what’s to come from both Apple and Qualcomm. The two companies agreed to use the  X55   for the 2020 launch. Then Qualcomm’s X60 modem will be used for the 2021 launch, a 5nm chip while the X55 is manufactured on a 7nm process (a node behind the Apple A14 chipset). This should reduce the power usage in 5G mode compared to current models. Also, it works with third-gen mmWave antennas, which are smaller (the iPhone 12-series has a noticeable window for the mmWave antennas). After that Apple will mix and match modems as needed – the 2022 and 2023 relea...

Image
OnePlus 9 launch could be in just six months, according to a new report. The phone, which will be the successor to the OnePlus 8, is apparently set to be unveiled as soon as March next year. The OnePlus 8 series was launched in April this year and if the OnePlus 9 launch date turns out to be true, the phone could arrive about a month before its predecessor did. As of now, OnePlus has not shared what it will call its next flagship smartphone and when it will be released. In its  report  Android Central cites sources who say that the OnePlus 9 could be released as early as mid-March. It states that the company will host an event sometime around mid-March, but it is unclear if it will be a virtual one or not.  OnePlus  has not shared when it is planning on releasing its next smartphone or what it will be called so this piece of information should be taken with a pinch of salt. OnePlus released the  OnePlus 8  series back in April and followed it up with the...
